How Much Does NOAH Basketball Cost? (2026 Price Breakdown)

NOAH Basketball sells several setups, and the price depends on which one. On October 17, 2026, NOAH’s own pages listed the high school Backboard package from $3,349 for a half court (activation, first-year service and shipping), the Noahlytics data service at $2,600 upfront plus $100 a month, and, on its FAQ page, the NOAH Instant at $4,599 plus $99 shipping.

What NOAH actually is

NOAH is a shot-tracking system from Pillar Vision. Per NOAH’s products page, sensors mounted above the hoop or on the backboard capture the ball’s position 30 times per second and measure every shot’s arc, depth, left-right deviation and percent made. No wearable or special ball is needed. Coaches view the data in the Noahlytics app (iPhone only, per the same page), and the free NOAH Basketball app works only with a NOAH system.

NOAH says its system is installed in 93% of NBA facilities and used by “over 90% of NBA teams”. Those are NOAH’s own claims.

NOAH packages explained

NOAH Backboard: half court vs. full court

The Backboard is the model NOAH pitches to high school coaches. NOAH’s page says it sets up in less than an hour with standard hand tools and is controlled from an iPhone or iPad. The half court package (one hoop) is $1,750 to activate, the full court package (two hoops) is $3,500, and both carry a $1,500 annual service fee that includes independent cellular connectivity. Shipping is $99 or $198. With both competition hoops covered, NOAH says you can track games and scrimmages with shot charts and rim maps by team and player.

Noahlytics data service

Noahlytics is the subscription-style option. Per NOAH’s pricing pages, the hardware is owned by NOAH Basketball, which replaces any hardware failures. You pay an activation fee ($2,600 for one system, $4,800 for two) and a $100 monthly data charge, which NOAH says a school can split across its basketball programs. Shipping is not included in the one-system price.

NOAH Instant

NOAH’s FAQ page says: “The investment for the Noah Instant is $4,599 plus a $99 shipping charge to ship anywhere in the continental U.S.” The Instant doesn’t appear on NOAH’s current Products page, which lists Pro, Backboard, Broadcast and the HOOPS app, so confirm with NOAH that it’s still sold before you budget for it.

Pro and NBA systems

NOAH doesn’t publish Pro pricing. The only public figure we found is dated: in November 2022, Sports Business Journal reported that NOAH’s premium system with automatic facial-recognition shooter tagging had “an upfront installation fee of $10,000 per hoop”, with most NBA teams equipping four to six hoops, and data plans running from thousands a month for NBA teams down to $100 a month for high schools. Treat that as a 2022 data point, not today’s price.

Total cost over 3 years

Simple arithmetic from the published numbers, before tax, assuming prices stay the same:

Package Formula 3-year total
Backboard, half court $1,750 + $99 + 3 × $1,500 $6,349
Backboard, full court $3,500 + $198 + 3 × $1,500 $8,198
Noahlytics, one system $2,600 + 36 × $100 (+ shipping) $6,200 + shipping
Noahlytics, two systems $4,800 + 36 × $100 $8,400
NOAH Instant $4,599 + $99 (no recurring fee listed) $4,698

Our arithmetic from NOAH’s pages as checked October 17, 2026. With Noahlytics, NOAH owns the hardware; with the Backboard, check with NOAH what happens if you stop paying the annual service fee.

Cheaper ways to track shot arc

  • NOAH’s own phone app. Hoops: AI Basketball Training is Pillar Vision’s iPhone app. NOAH’s comparison table says it tracks straight-ahead shots only and gives arc and depth feedback. The App Store lists HOOPS Monthly at $3.99 and Annual at $39.99.
  • A smart ball. Spalding TF DNA tracks makes, misses, release angle, spin and more from a sensor in the ball. Spalding listed the ball at $249.99 or $299.99 with a year of membership on October 17, 2026. See best smart basketballs.
  • A phone-camera tracker. Ball AI works on iPhone and Android and reports makes, misses, court location, release angle and release time, per its App Store listing (paid subscription, with a free trial on the yearly plan).
  • A gym that already has the hardware. Shoot 360 facilities and ShotTracker-equipped gyms give you shot data without buying a system. One parent says their daughter gets far more quality shots at Shoot 360.

For every option, see basketball shot tracking apps.

Is NOAH worth it for a high school or home gym?

A checklist, not a verdict:

  • Will a coach look at the data every week? NOAH’s value is arc, depth and left-right numbers. If nobody reviews them, a cheaper rep counter does the same job.
  • One hoop or two? Game and scrimmage tracking needs both competition hoops (the full court Backboard package).
  • Buy or rent the hardware? Noahlytics keeps the hardware NOAH’s problem for $100 a month. The Backboard has a lower activation fee but a $1,500 annual service fee.
  • Home gym? NOAH’s FAQ says the Instant can be set up for “a small private home court”, but the Backboard and Noahlytics prices are labeled high school pricing. Ask NOAH what applies to a private buyer.
  • Financing. NOAH’s finance plan page offers US high schools and colleges 50% upfront and 50% within 12 months, plus a one-time $200 finance fee.

FAQ

How much does a NOAH Basketball system cost? On October 17, 2026, NOAH’s site listed the high school Backboard package at $3,349 for a half court or $5,198 for a full court (activation, first-year service and shipping), Noahlytics at $2,600 for one system or $4,800 for two plus $100 a month, and the NOAH Instant at $4,599 plus $99 shipping on its FAQ page. Pro pricing isn’t published.

Is there a monthly fee for NOAH? It depends on the package. Noahlytics has a $100 monthly data charge. The Backboard has a $1,500 annual service fee instead. NOAH’s FAQ lists no recurring fee for the Instant.

Can you buy NOAH for a home gym? NOAH’s FAQ says the Instant can work in almost any court situation, including a small private home court. The Backboard and Noahlytics prices are published as high school pricing, so contact NOAH for a private quote.

What does NOAH Basketball measure? Per NOAH, every shot’s arc, depth, left-right deviation and percent made, captured by sensors above the hoop or on the backboard 30 times per second. No wearable or special ball is needed.

Do NBA teams use NOAH? NOAH says it is used by over 90% of NBA teams. In November 2022, Sports Business Journal named the Warriors, Clippers, Suns, Trail Blazers, Jazz, Mavericks, Bucks, Cavaliers, Heat, Knicks and Raptors among its NBA installs.

What is a cheaper alternative to NOAH? Pillar Vision’s own HOOPS iPhone app gives arc and depth feedback on straight-ahead shots for $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year. A Spalding TF DNA smart ball ($249.99 with a year of membership) or a phone-camera app like Ball AI also tracks release angle. Shoot 360 and ShotTracker gyms give you data without buying hardware.
